Alessandra Ghini has over twenty years experience in marketing with an emphasis on brand strategy, marketing communications, program development and product marketing.
Alessandra started her career in technology, working for Macromedia, HandSpring and Apple. While at Apple, Alessandra led the marketing communications team for software, music and services, and drove world-changing product launches including the iPod mini, the iTunes music store and iTunes for Windows.
She went on to consult both independently and as an employee for SY Partners and Embarcadero Partners. At SY Partners, Alessandra led a long-term engagement with Starbucks to redefine the brand strategy in anticipation of their 40th anniversary. The work she led resulted in significant internal changes as well as an external change signaled by their new logo. At Embarcadero Partners, she led marketing positioning projects for Dell Corporation, including rethinking and aligning the positioning and messaging after the merger of two business units.
As an independent consultant, Alessandra continued work with Starbucks on brand strategy alignment for VIA and Evolution Fresh. She has also led successful brand strategy development for Fandor, Roots of Change, 18 Reasons, rePlanet and Belcampo Inc.
Alessandra has a deep passion for the creative and culinary arts and currently sits on the board of the Ansel Adams Foundation. She is an advisor for the Eat Real Festival and Food Craft Institute. She earned a BA from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Sara Olsen has over twenty years experience in building businesses with a focus on strategy, marketing and sales.
Sara started her career in technology, working for notable companies such as Autodesk, Frame Technology (now Adobe Systems) and Macromedia (now Adobe Systems). Most recently, she has led executive level engagements for SY Partners, Embarcadero Partners, and as an independent consultant. Her engagements have covered leadership engagement, sales transformation, brand strategy, marketing communications and product marketing. Former clients include Oakley/N3L Optics, Deloitte Consulting, Dell Corporation, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and rePlanet.
Sara is known for solving complex problems by clearly articulating the path forward, outlining what must change as a result of strategic choices, and identifying critical steps to making those changes happen.
Sara earned a BA Cum Laude from University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a passionate cook, reader, and traveler.
Paul Miltenberger has over twenty years of broad based functional and operational experience encompassing strategy, finance, business development, and sales and marketing. He has worked with large publicly traded technology companies, and has successfully founded, financed, operated, and sold start-up companies in multiple industries.
Paul started his career with finance and sales and marketing positions at Tektronix and Conner Peripherals. He went on to lead business development and sales at Silicon Gaming, which was successfully sold to IGT. While at Silicon Gaming, Paul identified a new opportunity and secured funding for and co-founded WagerWorks, an online gaming company which he ultimately sold to IGT for $90 Million. Paul served as CEO and CFO, and during that time he helped structure numerous IP and Media relationships, and identified and patented certain technologies which ultimately revolutionized the marketing and distribution models for the entire online gaming industry.
Most recently, Paul served as CFO for FWD:Power and FWD:Energy helping to found and build the companies and secure both corporate and project financing.
Paul is known for identifying opportunities, creating a thoughtful and thorough strategy and approach for pursuing those opportunities, and developing—and executing—concrete steps for achieving success.
Paul spends most of his spare time outdoors—cycling, skiing, and enjoying the back country. Paul earned a BA in Finance and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
